Senior Manager, Performance, Verification & Impact

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead Performance, Verification and Impact for an industry‑led initiative that strengthens the resilience of the cocoa supply chain in Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. The role will establish and manage a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team, ensuring high‑quality data collection, analysis and reporting to drive evidence‑based decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve MEL frameworks, systems and indicators aligned with program objectives.
• Develop detailed workplans, identify risks and ensure smooth project delivery across multiple countries.
• Manage cross‑functional and geographically dispersed teams, including staff and consultants.
• Oversee data collection efforts, train enumerators, ensure data quality and manage timelines.
• Collaborate with internal departments (data, finance, technical experts) and external partners to meet deliverables.
• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners and service providers.
• Manage MEL‑related budgets, ensuring efficient resource use and financial accountability.
• Lead statistical design, thematic data analysis and contextualisation of findings.
• Produce clear, insightful reports and presentations for internal and external audiences.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing MEL activities for large‑scale agricultural or supply‑chain programs.
• Strong project‑management skills with a track record of delivering complex, multi‑country initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder‑engagement abilities and experience coordinating cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to design robust surveys, data collection methodologies and statistical approaches.
• Experience managing budgets and ensuring financial accountability.
