Senior Shift Engineer (Packing Plant)

About the role

The Senior Shift Engineer will lead the packing plant shift team to ensure optimal plant operations and meet daily production targets. This on‑site position requires strong supervisory abilities and deep knowledge of cement production and packing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the shift team to achieve efficient execution of packing activities and daily output goals.
• Act as the shift in‑charge, overseeing loading of cement into trucks and operation of packing equipment.
• Review and ensure timely sign‑off of production control sheets (ATCs) by the Shift Manager.
• Coordinate with maintenance engineers to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance for packing machinery.
• Enforce the use of personal protective equipment to maintain a safe work environment.
• Provide on‑the‑job training for operators and support continuous skill development.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the Shift Manager.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (any discipline) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in cement plant or similar industrial environment.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of cement production processes.
• Expertise in operation and troubleshooting of cement packing machines.
• Effective supervisory and problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and good relationship‑management skills.
