SHEQ Officer Apprentice – Safety, Health, Environment & Quality

About the role

The SHEQ Officer Apprentice will join Epiroc’s safety, health, environment and quality team in Abidjan. This hands‑on position offers recent graduates the chance to develop core SHEQ competencies while supporting daily operations across offices, workshops, warehouses and industrial sites.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with risk assessments (HIRA, JSEA, JSA) and monitor corrective actions.
• Support incident and near‑miss reporting, emergency drills and PPE compliance.
• Help conduct waste segregation, environmental inspections and spill risk checks.
• Participate in document control, internal audits and follow‑up on non‑conformities.
• Facilitate SHEQ inductions, training sessions and maintain training records.
• Compile monthly SHEQ statistics, dashboards and support management reporting.

Required profile

• License degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of SHEQ principles and ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 standards.
• Familiarity with Côte d’Ivoire occupational health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
