Space Applications Expert, Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Non‑Key Expert to support the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services and applications, including solutions based on Copernicus data, to address key development, climate and environmental priorities across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and promote Earth Observation services and applications that leverage Copernicus data and products.
• Facilitate knowledge exchange and user uptake with African institutions and stakeholders.
• Address climate, environmental and development challenges through tailored EO solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services, remote sensing or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years designing or delivering EO services using Copernicus data in sectors such as early warning, climate, agriculture, water or biodiversity.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
