Technical Supervisor – Mining Workshop

About the role

As a Technical Supervisor for Mining at BIA Group, you will lead a fully equipped REMAN workshop that rebuilds and services mining machine components. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, to the highest quality standards, and in full compliance with Komatsu procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Utilise workshop labour and resources to meet operational targets.
• Assist the workshop manager in short‑ and mid‑term planning, considering parts delivery.
• Monitor daily progress against the plan and allocate job cards to technicians.
• Supervise staff to produce quality work and enforce safety standards.
• Ensure correct use of RESO software and adherence to Komatsu Standard Procedures.
• Prepare daily operation reports, timesheets, and component testing documentation.
• Maintain detailed records, pictures, and labor logs for every job.
• Provide on‑the‑job training, technical advice, and promote a clean, safe work environment.

Required profile

• Craft or advanced certificate in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a fully equipped REMAN workshop handling mining machine components.
• Strong knowledge of mechanics, electricity, and rebuild facility processes.
• Customer‑focused attitude with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and manage change.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Microsoft Project.
• Experience using RESO workshop software.
• Knowledge of Komatsu Standard Procedures.
• Hands‑on expertise in mechanics and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with removal and installation of mining equipment components.
