Technicien Génie Civil – Travaux de Drainage

About the role

The Civil Engineering Technician will supervise the installation and on‑site casting of drainage structures on a sloping terrain. The role ensures that all works comply with execution drawings, engineering standards and hydraulic grading requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise placement of prefabricated channels (0.8 m × 0.8 m) over 1,430 m, ensuring correct alignment, levels and joints.
• Oversee on‑site casting of trapezoidal and rectangular channels (2 m × 2 m) for 475 m and 165 m respectively, including layout, formwork, reinforcement, concreting and stripping.
• Assist the surveyor with altimetric setting to guarantee project slopes and water flow direction.
• Check stability of structures on steep sections and propose anchoring or energy‑dissipating solutions when needed.
• Control material quality (concrete, aggregates, steel) and verify mix designs.
• Track daily physical progress and report to the site manager.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental (HSE) standards on the site.
• Maintain site documentation such as logs, measurements, reports and quality‑control sheets.
• Participate in site meetings and coordinate with other trades (surveyors, labs, technical control).

Required profile

• BTS/DUT or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Public Works, VRD or Hydraulics.
• At least 2–3 years of experience on VRD, drainage or sanitation projects.
• Proven experience as a site manager on a minimum of two drainage projects covering at least 2 ha, with channel installation and on‑site casting of structures ≥2 m over 500 m linear.
• Strong ability to read execution plans and longitudinal/ transversal profiles.
