Accountant – Abidjan

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Accountant to manage the Abidjan accounts of a leading steel manufacturing and trading company expanding across Africa. The role covers accounts receivable and payable, reconciliations, financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Abidjan accounts, including accounts receivable/payable and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers and documentation.
• Conduct financial analysis and generate management reports.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and company policies.
• Prepare periodic financial statements, dashboards and reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance or operations.
• Fluent in French, English and Hindi.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience with MS Dynamics 365.
• Knowledge of Sage accounting software.
• Familiarity with OHADA and French accounting standards.
