Accountant – General Ledger & Tax Reporting

About the role

Eni is seeking an Accountant to join its Natural Energies subsidiary in Abidjan. The role focuses on managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, from transaction recording to tax reporting, ensuring compliance with OHADA standards and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions in the SAP accounting system (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, revenue, and taxes).
• Maintain a clear audit trail for all entries.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities in line with Eni Group reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers and customers on AP/AR matters.
• Prepare periodic direct and indirect tax reports for statutory filing.
• Perform monthly internal controls, account reconciliations, and support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with OHADA accounting regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BAC+3) in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Significant experience in general accounting, preferably within a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of OHADA accounting standards and tax regulations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP accounting modules.
• Knowledge of OHADA accounting principles.
