About the role
The Associate Director will drive business growth across French‑speaking West Africa for IQVIA, focusing on clinical sponsors in the pharmaceutical and CRO sectors. This senior position combines strategic sales planning with hands‑on client engagement to secure and retain high‑value contracts.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Build and maintain long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers and influencers.
- Identify customer needs, propose tailored strategies, and coordinate proposal development.
- Lead sales presentations, educate internal teams on client culture, and manage contract negotiations.
- Track all sales activities in the CRM system and report performance to sales management.
- Monitor competitive landscape, pricing, and market trends to adjust tactics.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through regular communication and post‑sale support.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in CRO/pharmaceutical sales.
- Proven track record engaging mid‑level to senior contacts in outsourcing and procurement.
- Strong organizational, project‑management and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently, influence internal and external stakeholders, and adapt to fast‑changing priorities.
