BSS/Wireless Products Trainee – RAN Support

About the role

This trainee position offers hands‑on experience supporting radio access network (RAN) equipment for a leading telecommunications supplier. Working under senior engineers, you will contribute to rollout, commissioning, and integration activities while building practical maintenance skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in RAN equipment rollout, commissioning and integration under supervision.
• Provide technical support, routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Monitor alarm reports from the OMC system and help handle alarms.
• Participate in technical training to improve RAN maintenance capabilities.
• Receive and analyse faults escalated from Level 1 engineers and manage tickets in the OSS system.
• Collaborate with the RF optimisation team and other internal groups.
• Follow internal rules, administrative procedures and reporting standards.
• Undertake additional tasks as requested by the direct manager.

Required profile

• Current university student (not yet graduated) in communications, computer science, electronics or a related field.
• Strong motivation to learn, ability to work under supervision, and a pragmatic, creative attitude.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G Radio Access Network technologies.
• Fundamental understanding of computers and TCP/IP networking.
