Category Manager – Direct Production Services

About the role

The Category Manager – Direct Production Services will lead the development and execution of category strategies for key mining contracts that directly support production. You will work closely with operations, engineering and site teams to ensure cost‑effective, safe and ESG‑compliant procurement outcomes across Endeavour’s mines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for production‑related services such as load & haul, drilling, blasting, road construction and maintenance.
• Build and manage strategic relationships with contractors, ensuring performance, safety and ESG requirements are met.
• Conduct market research, assess supplier capabilities, identify cost drivers and mitigate risks like service delays or compliance issues.
• Define, monitor and report KPIs (productivity, contract adherence, service uptime, safety compliance) against business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with procurement governance, ethical sourcing standards and audit requirements.
• Collaborate with site operations, finance and HSE to align contracts with business priorities and provide commercial support.
• Drive continuous improvement, introduce efficiency initiatives, technology and ESG enhancements.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all activities follow company standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 + years experience in category management, procurement or supply‑chain within the mining industry.
• Proven track record in supplier negotiations, contract management and delivering cost savings.
• Experience in market analysis, risk mitigation and implementing category strategies.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret spend data and market trends.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship‑management skills.
