Category Manager Local Content

About the role

Reporting to the Group Manager Sustainable Supply Chain & Local Content, the Category Manager Local Content & Indirect Spend Support coordinates and drives execution of Local Content programs across West Africa, ensuring compliance with regulations and supporting supplier development.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of Group Local Content strategy and monitor compliance with national regulations.
• Develop and onboard local suppliers, manage supplier development programs and financing initiatives.
• Maintain reporting frameworks, track performance metrics and prepare executive dashboards.
• Provide backup support for indirect spend category management, tendering and sourcing activities.
• Engage with stakeholders including regulators, chambers, financial institutions and internal functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field.
• 8‑10 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in mining or multinational environments.
• Fluent in English and French; additional West African languages a plus.
