Chef de Service Fiscalité

About the role

The Chef de Service Fiscalité is a full-time, on-site role based in Abidjan, responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities of SCB Côte d'Ivoire. The person oversees corporate tax compliance, monitors changes in tax regulations and ensures timely and accurate tax filings.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze tax risks and optimize the bank's tax position in line with legal requirements
• Prepare tax reports and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities
• Coordinate with accounting, finance and legal teams, and advise business units on the tax implications of products, transactions and strategic projects
• Respond to tax audits and information requests
• Contribute to policy development, train team members on tax matters and support continuous improvement of tax processes and controls

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Law or a related field; a professional tax or accounting certification is an advantage
• Prior experience in a tax management role, ideally within a bank or large corporate environment in Côte d'Ivoire or the West African region
• Ability to work on-site in Abidjan, manage multiple priorities and uphold high ethical and compliance standards

Required skills

• Strong expertise in corporate taxation, banking and financial sector tax rules, and local and regional tax regulations
• Tax compliance processes, including tax returns, documentation and support during tax audits
• Accounting principles, financial analysis and interpretation of financial statements for tax purposes
• Regulatory and legal research, and process improvement, internal controls and risk management in a financial institution
• Leadership and team management, including mentoring, workload planning and performance monitoring
