Communications Intern – International Media Relations

About the role
UNDP Côte d’Ivoire is looking for a motivated Communications Intern to help raise the international visibility of the country’s development results. You will work closely with the communications team to craft compelling stories and pitch them to media outlets across Africa and beyond.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, write and pitch stories about UNDP Côte d’Ivoire’s projects to international journalists and media platforms.
- Develop op‑eds, thought‑leadership pieces and other editorial content.
- Produce high‑quality website copy and social‑media posts that showcase development outcomes.
- Strengthen relationships with journalists, editors and influential media contacts.
Required profile
- Strong journalism or editorial background with a passion for international media.
- Excellent English‑language writing and storytelling abilities.
- Highly motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work independently.
