Construction HSE Training Coordinator

About the role

The Construction HSE Training Coordinator will support all project sites by developing, coordinating, and delivering health, safety, and environment (HSE) training activities. The role ensures training aligns with contractor standards, local legislation, and client requirements while fostering a strong HSE culture across the construction workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Project HSE Training Matrix, defining mandatory and optional courses for each job group and risk activity.
• Prepare HSE training materials, schedules, and comprehensive training plans.
• Coordinate and coach site HSE trainers to deliver inductions and ongoing training for contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor training registers, attendance records, competency test results, and key performance indicators.
• Report training performance to Site HSE Managers and the Home Office, and validate HSE sections of monthly construction progress reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction HSE with a focus on training and competency development.
• Fluent in English; French is mandatory.
• Experience on EPC/EPCM or large industrial projects is a plus.

Required skills

• KPI tracking and performance reporting for training activities.

• Knowledge of HSE regulations, construction risks, and site safety practices.
