Construction QA/QC Supervisor

About the role

The Construction QA/QC Supervisor ensures that civil, structural, architectural and MEP construction works are carried out in full compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, applicable codes and standards and client requirements. The role is primarily site-based, with a roster of 5 days on, 2 days off, and requires being in the field most of the time. It reports to the Resettlement Area Manager, Resettlement Superintendent and Construction Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Quality assurance: implement and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP), develop Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and codes.
• Quality control: supervise inspections across all trades, verify dimensions, levels, tolerances and workmanship, and confirm that materials meet specifications and are certified.
• NCR management: identify non-conformities, prepare and issue NCRs, run an NCR tracking system, coordinate corrective and preventive actions and close them out.
• Dimensional control: review survey data and as-built dimensions, verify geometric tolerances and coordinate with the survey team.
• Reporting and documentation: prepare daily, weekly and monthly quality reports, maintain QA/QC records (ITPs, checklists, test reports) and prepare handover files.
• Site coordination and audits: interface with construction, engineering and HSE teams, attend site meetings, support quality objectives and take part in internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of QA/QC experience.
• Experience in the African construction sector preferred; French and English skills desired.
• Proven experience in multi-discipline construction projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of QA/QC processes and international standards such as ISO 9001, Eurocodes, ACI, ASTM and BS.
• Inspections, NCR management and quality reporting.
• Microsoft Excel, Word and MS Project, and AutoCAD drawing review.
