Depot Director – EV Fleet Operations

About the role

We are seeking a senior Depot Director to lead the launch and ongoing operations of our electric‑vehicle depot in Ivory Coast. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective management of the depot, its fleet, charging infrastructure, and workforce while supporting our rapid growth in sustainable mobility.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily depot activities, including vehicle dispatch, return, charging, and parking, ensuring compliance with SLAs and safety standards.
• Optimize depot layout, workflows, and capacity utilization to maximize efficiency.
• Manage fleet condition, availability, maintenance, repair, and cleaning to keep vehicles ready for service.
• Monitor and maintain charging infrastructure performance and energy usage.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Lead, develop, and schedule depot staff, set performance targets, and conduct regular reviews.
• Track operational KPIs such as fleet availability, turnaround time, utilization rate, and cost efficiency.
• Control depot budgets, manage costs related to maintenance, utilities, and manpower.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Fleet, Finance, HR, and headquarters to align depot activities with business objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Logistics or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Minimum 8 years of experience in depot, fleet, logistics, manufacturing or large‑scale operations management, including senior leadership roles.
• Proven experience working within Ivorian regulatory and labor frameworks.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
