Director, Marketing Services

About the role

Visa is seeking a Director of Marketing Services to lead client‑marketing strategy and execution across Sub‑Saharan Africa, supporting the CEMAC, UEMOA and DRC markets. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Services, you will shape high‑impact programs, partner with senior client stakeholders, and ensure alignment with regional and global standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and continuous improvement of client‑marketing activities across the cluster.
• Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration with internal teams to deliver seamless marketing solutions.
• Support in‑country teams in creating client‑facing materials such as proposals and program outlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, ensuring programs meet client needs and industry best practices.
• Contribute to pitch preparation and respond to client marketing opportunities.
• Coordinate the annual planning cycle and align regional marketing priorities.
• Develop clear communications and performance reporting for senior leadership.
• Partner with advisory, analytics, commercial and marketing support functions as required.

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing (or 8+ years with an advanced degree such as an MBA).
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Proven success in fast‑paced environments with demanding timelines.
• Ability to engage C‑suite executives and junior team members alike.
• Strong stakeholder management, client engagement, and strategic execution capabilities.
• Organizational savvy and excellent interpersonal skills.
