About the role
The Drill & Blast Manager will lead and coordinate all drilling, explosive loading and blasting activities for mining projects in Ivory Coast. This role ensures that plans are prepared, executed and controlled in line with company policies, regulatory standards and best‑practice safety and environmental guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, review and control drilling plans, explosive loading plans and blasting plans.
- Perform quality control of drilling, loading and blasting operations to optimise capacity and performance.
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental and safety standards throughout all activities.
- Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Train and motivate the drilling and blasting team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Higher education degree in Geotechnical & Geo‑Environmental Engineering or Mining Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in production, preferably within mining projects.
- Blast card certification (preferred).
- Fluency in French (preferred) and strong initiative, planning and organisational abilities.
- Leadership, team training experience and willingness to travel as required.
