Economic Development Coordinator

About the role

The Economic Development Coordinator will support Endeavour Mining’s “Tanda Vision” strategy by driving economic transformation initiatives in the Tanda Department. Working closely with local‑content leads and the consulting firm managing the project, the incumbent will identify, design and implement income‑generating activities and socio‑economic infrastructure to create lasting value for the region.

Key responsibilities

• Establish a transparent, impact‑driven process to select high‑potential Income‑Generating Activity (IGA) projects.
• Conduct socioeconomic assessments to prioritize projects that generate income, employment and inclusion for women and youth.
• Facilitate market linkages for IGA beneficiaries with buyers, value‑chain actors and financial institutions at local, national and international levels.
• Support the formalisation of producer groups and cooperatives and coordinate with procurement teams to maximise local procurement.
• Coordinate planning and implementation of economic infrastructure projects, liaising with authorities, contractors and communities.
• Collaborate on capacity‑building programmes for beneficiaries in partnership with employability and local‑content coordinators.

Required profile

• Proven experience in economic development, community development or project coordination, preferably in a mining or natural‑resource context.
• Strong understanding of income‑generating activities, market integration and local procurement processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with government agencies, NGOs, contractors and community groups.
• Analytical mindset for socioeconomic assessments and impact evaluation.
• Fluent in English; French proficiency is an advantage.
