EHV Commissioning Engineer – Ivory Coast

About the role
Aggreko is seeking an experienced EHV Commissioning Engineer to ensure that extra‑high‑voltage equipment used on projects in Ivory Coast meets regulatory standards. You will lead commissioning activities, support design documentation, and provide electrical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure HV commissioning standards are met and installations align with the designed PDP.
- Schedule and execute commissioning of HV equipment to meet delivery timelines.
- Prepare HV design, as‑built drawings and related documentation.
- Take handover of HV installations, understand equipment operation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Provide electrical assistance on‑site during project execution and throughout equipment life.
- Conduct field audits, routine maintenance, evaluations and monitoring of HV equipment.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on new HV transformers and switchgear.
- Mentor and train HV engineers, technicians and site personnel.
- Maintain HV commissioning and service manuals and promote continuous improvement.
- Adhere to Aggreko HSE policy, ISO 9001:2015 procedures and operational excellence initiatives.
Required profile
- Electrical Engineer with 7–10 years of experience in generation, transmission or distribution of high‑voltage (<33 kV) systems.
- Willingness to travel globally on short notice.
- Strong conceptual and technical competency in HV design and commissioning.
- Experience leading or managing operations and service technicians is an advantage.
- Fluent in English and French.
