Execution & Operations Assistant – West Africa

About the role

COFCO International is seeking an Execution & Operations Assistant to support cotton export operations across West Africa. The role will coordinate logistics, shipping documentation and contract follow‑up, acting as the link between FOB suppliers and the execution teams in Singapore and India.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all operational activities for cotton shipments from origin to destination.
• Liaise daily with FOB suppliers, freight forwarders and internal teams to ensure timely execution.
• Track and manage shipping documents such as bill of lading, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, phytosanitary and fumigation certificates.
• Arrange bookings, trucking, vessel schedules and container allocations with freight forwarders.
• Maintain shipment trackers and execution reports for internal stakeholders.
• Proactively escalate operational issues to avoid delays.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in commodity logistics or trade operations.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Fluency in English and French.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel within the region if required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
