General Manager – Côte d’Ivoire

About the role

GSM (Green SM) is launching Africa’s first all‑electric ride‑hailing service in Côte d’Ivoire. As General Manager you will lead the market entry, build the local team, and drive the business to become the leading mobility platform in Abidjan.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end launch: set timelines, manage vehicle readiness, depot and charging setup, driver onboarding, app deployment and operational readiness.
• Hire, coach and lead cross‑functional teams across commercial, operations, partnerships, finance and HR.
• Establish culture, standards and operating rhythms from scratch and build a talent bench for scaling.
• Run day‑to‑day operations, manage marketplace dynamics, driver supply, customer experience, fleet and charging infrastructure.
• Take full P&L responsibility: revenue, unit economics, cost control and capital efficiency.
• Report performance and risks to senior leadership and propose solutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regulators, partners, drivers and the public.

Required profile

• Proven experience launching and scaling a high‑growth business, preferably in mobility or transportation.
• Strong P&L ownership and ability to drive financial performance.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with regulators, partners and public authorities.
• Leadership experience building and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment and make data‑driven decisions.
