Guest Lecturer (Part‑time)

About the role

British International University is seeking a part‑time Guest Lecturer to join its campus in Abidjan. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lectures and seminars in their area of expertise, contributing to the university’s international and innovative learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high‑quality lectures and seminars on campus.
• Design course materials, assessments and grade student work.
• Provide constructive feedback to support student success.
• Collaborate with permanent faculty to ensure curriculum coherence.
• Participate in selected academic events and contribute to the university’s international profile.
• Stay current with disciplinary developments and integrate real‑world case studies into teaching.

Required profile

• Strong subject‑matter expertise in a relevant discipline (e.g., business, management, humanities, social sciences, education).
• Demonstrated university‑level teaching experience, including lecturing, seminar facilitation and assessment design.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; French is an asset.
• Advanced academic credentials (master’s degree or doctorate) or equivalent professional experience.
• Ability to design learner‑centered content, use educational technologies and apply inclusive, culturally responsive teaching practices.
• Flexibility to teach on‑site in Abidjan on a part‑time schedule and collaborate with an international academic team.
