About the role
Fairtrade Africa is seeking an Internal Audit and Risk Officer to provide independent, objective assurance and consulting across the ECAN & SAN region. The role focuses on evaluating internal controls, risk management processes, and financial records to ensure compliance and improve operational effectiveness.
Key responsibilities
- Assess internal control frameworks and identify gaps.
- Evaluate risk management activities and recommend mitigation measures.
- Review financial statements and records for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to senior management.
- Follow up on non‑conformities and support implementation of corrective actions.
Required profile
- Relevant degree in finance, accounting, audit, or related field.
- Professional experience in internal audit, risk assessment, or financial control.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
