IT Controller – Internal Control Officer

About the role

Wave is looking for an IT Controller to join its Internal Control team in Côte d’Ivoire. You will act as the main point of contact for IT and security control audits, helping the company manage risk while it scales rapidly across Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the external liaison for IT and security controls during BCEAO, banking partner, and other audits in Senegal and Côte d’Ivoire.
• Collaborate with Wave’s Security Team to execute IT audits, draft reports, and follow up on findings.
• Manage remediation actions for audit issues within the IT and security scope.
• Identify and control risks across the organization, extending beyond IT when needed.
• Ensure IT risks are captured in Wave’s risk‑mapping framework before product or process launches.
• Implement and monitor IT‑related risk management policies and periodic reporting.
• Conduct preventive and detective controls aligned with the company’s risk profile.
• Monitor internal mechanisms for reporting, investigating, and escalating risk issues.
• Anticipate emerging risk trends and assess their impact on the business.
• Perform other duties as required to support evolving business needs.
