Key Account Manager

About the role

Wave is building Africa’s first cashless continent and needs a commercially driven, data‑oriented Key Account Manager to grow strategic corporate payment partners. You will own a portfolio of key accounts, lead a team of Account Supervisors, and work cross‑functionally to deliver growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Own and expand a portfolio of corporate payment partners, acting as the main business and operational contact.
• Run regular business reviews, identify growth opportunities, and develop account‑specific roadmaps.
• Lead commercial performance analysis, pricing proposals, and in‑field activation at partner locations.
• Ensure high‑quality support, resolve partner incidents, and coordinate with Finance, Support, Product, and Risk teams.
• Coach and develop a team of Account Supervisors, set priorities, and maintain performance standards.

Required profile

• Degree in management, sales, finance, international relations or a comparable field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role, preferably in a bank, mobile‑money or international company.
• Fluent French and good English, with a proven track record of delivering excellent customer experience.
• Strong analytical, presentation, and partnership‑building skills.
