Key Account Manager – West & Central Africa

About the role

Bayer is seeking a strategic Key Account Manager to lead commercial relationships with major regional distributors across West and Central Africa. The role focuses on driving sales growth, forecasting, and business performance for assigned key accounts while aligning with Bayer’s regional commercial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual account plans in line with Bayer’s West & Central Africa commercial strategy.
• Lead regular business reviews with key accounts to monitor sales performance, forecast accuracy, inventory levels, payment discipline and growth opportunities.
• Build monthly and rolling forecasts per customer and country in collaboration with Sales Effectiveness & Planning, Supply Chain and Customer Experience teams.
• Conduct commercial negotiations including pricing, target setting, rebate mechanisms and market funding within approved governance.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Customer Experience to ensure product availability, delivery updates and high‑quality customer service.
• Monitor sell‑in, sell‑out, channel inventory and market demand to anticipate business risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic key account management within a multinational environment.
• Strong ability to build long‑term relationships with senior decision‑makers and influence customer loyalty.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret demand, inventory and market intelligence data.
• Demonstrated capability to drive commercial negotiations and achieve sales targets.
