Lead Project Geologist / Exploration Manager

About the role

The Exploration Manager leads the safe and effective delivery of approved exploration and resource programs on the company’s gold project. Reporting to the Principal Geologist, the role owns day‑to‑day field operations to advance targets from prospect through to resource definition.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and supervise field programs including geological mapping, geochemical sampling, trenching, auger, RC and diamond drilling.
• Manage drilling and field service contractors, monitoring performance, productivity, cost and adherence to scope and standards.
• Ensure HSEC compliance on site, promote a safe and environmentally responsible working environment and act as first point of contact for community relations.
• Compile and interpret field data to produce maps, 3D models and reports that support target generation and resource‑definition drilling.
• Validate all exploration work, data and processes, audit procedures and act as custodian of the exploration database.
• Lead and communicate with geologists, technicians and contractors, fostering high ethical standards and team morale.

Required profile

• 12+ years experience as a geologist in greenfield or brownfield mining environments.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Strong organisational and hard‑working attitude.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Ambitious with clear career goals and open to mentorship.
