Maintenance Coordinator

About the role

The Maintenance Coordinator ensures that planned maintenance activities are executed on time, optimizing resources and minimizing production disruptions within the Barry Callebaut Operating System. The role works closely with planners and production teams to align maintenance schedules with manufacturing needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly and monthly maintenance schedules, balancing resource use and production impact.
• Determine the timing and personnel for each maintenance task based on availability and skill sets.
• Adjust schedules in response to emergencies, production changes or unexpected events.
• Monitor equipment, parts, technician availability and update the CMMS with accurate records.
• Analyze scheduling data to drive continuous improvement and efficiency.

Required profile

• Technical certification, associate degree or equivalent technical experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a maintenance technician or coordinator in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
• 5+ years of experience leading and managing large teams, with knowledge of GMP and HACCP standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Strong knowledge of maintenance scheduling principles.
• Understanding of GMP and HACCP food‑safety standards.
