Material Requirement Planning Controller

About the role

Saipem is seeking an MRP Controller to support core supply‑chain processes on its on‑shore site in Vridi Sagmory. The role focuses on accurate data entry, inventory control and ensuring material availability for production and operational activities.

Key responsibilities

• Implement best practices for inventory control, including cycle counts, physical inventories and replenishment strategies.
• Maintain accurate SAP MM records of all inventory transactions and levels.
• Analyze demand patterns and consumption rates to optimise stock levels while minimising carrying costs.
• Collaborate with procurement, expediting and warehouse teams to align MRP data with deliveries and reduce stock‑outs.
• Develop and maintain MRP plans, generate forecasts and recommend corrective actions for potential shortages.
• Monitor and adjust MRP parameters (reorder points, safety stock, lead times) based on historical data.
• Utilise SAP MM to create purchase orders, requisitions and reorder proposals.
• Generate SAP reports to gain insights into inventory trends, supplier performance and cost‑optimisation opportunities.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives within warehouse and inventory management functions.
• Maintain documentation for data‑management processes and conduct end‑user training on MRP and SAP usage.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, automation, pivot tables, dashboards and data visualisation.
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM for inventory and material management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams (procurement, logistics, production, IT).
