Merchant Opening Supervisor

About the role

Wave is expanding its merchant network across Côte d’Ivoire and needs a hands‑on leader to drive merchant onboarding and satisfaction. As a Merchant Opening Supervisor you will manage a team of field‑based merchant openers, coordinate daily activities, and ensure alignment with quarterly growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coach a team of merchant openers, monitoring performance and preparing regular reports.
• Plan and execute merchant onboarding activities, including onboarding of large partners and BTL events.
• Coordinate inbound support requests from merchants in the assigned region and provide timely feedback.
• Gather and relay merchant feedback on product issues, technical challenges, and market needs.
• Assist in hiring, training, and scaling the merchant opening team.
• Support the overall merchant strategy and contribute to operational growth targets.

Required profile

• Fluency in French with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience managing a small team or in field sales/distribution.
• Good relational and sales abilities, with a focus on detail and proactive communication.
• Analytical mindset to interpret performance data and merchant feedback.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Côte d’Ivoire and travel within the region.
