Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer (Freelance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide Break & Fix services on an on‑call freelance basis. The role involves both onsite and remote troubleshooting of hardware, virtualization, and network incidents across enterprise environments in Côte d'Ivoire.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote Break & Fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Nutanix HCI (AOS, AHV, Prism) and perform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle tasks.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V) and network issues, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Respond to critical incidents within agreed response times and maintain accurate incident documentation.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering.
• Valid CCNA certification with at least a 90% score on the induction assessment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Professional demeanor with strong customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• VMware and/or Hyper‑V.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching.
• Backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Scripting with PowerShell and/or Python (advantageous).
• Optional: Nutanix Certification (NCP or higher), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
