Partner Operations Team Lead

About the role

Wave is building cashless financial services across Africa and needs a leader to drive its Partner Operations team. You will ensure payment integrations are reliable, keep business accounts funded, and nurture sustainable partner relationships. This is a permanent, onsite role based in Abidjan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor a high‑performing Partner Operations team, planning activities and schedules.
• Manage and resolve escalated partner cases, coordinating with support, product, engineering, finance, compliance and other teams.
• Interpret data from Sigma charts to inform decisions for internal teams and partners.
• Communicate clearly with users about issues, claims and outages, and ensure timely escalation.
• Draft public announcements and work with the integrations team to address bugs and requests.
• Translate precise partner requirements to engineering without heavy product manager involvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of experience in partner operations, customer service or back‑office roles, with a minimum of 2 years in a team‑lead capacity.
• Fluency in English, French and a local language.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret complex data and make actionable recommendations.
