Planning Methods Manager

About the role

The Planning Methods Manager will lead the planning, optimisation and continuous improvement of maintenance and production processes for our cement plant. You will ensure high equipment availability, control costs and drive reliability initiatives across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, coordinating plant shutdowns and major maintenance activities.
• Optimise resource utilisation, including workforce, materials and spare parts, to guarantee availability of critical equipment such as kilns, mills and conveyors.
• Define and improve maintenance methods, establish technical standards, analyse recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
• Lead performance‑optimisation and industrial‑improvement projects using Lean, TPM and other continuous‑improvement tools.
• Monitor KPIs (availability, MTBF, MTTR), prepare regular management reports and propose data‑driven action plans.
• Collaborate closely with production, maintenance and supply‑chain teams while supervising the planning and methods team.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in maintenance planning or methods within a heavy‑industrial environment; experience in the cement, mining, energy or steel sectors is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QSE (quality, health, safety, environment) requirements and ability to promote a safe work culture.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CMMS tools, especially SAP PM.
• In‑depth knowledge of heavy industrial equipment and maintenance strategies (preventive, predictive, condition‑based).
• Data analysis and project‑management capabilities.
