Project Manager – Drilling Operations (Ivory Coast)

About the role

We are a leading LSE‑listed drilling and mining services provider seeking a dedicated Group Project Manager to lead on‑ground operations in Ivory Coast. You will ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and profitability across all drilling activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visual safety leadership and maintain Duty of Care at the project site.
• Schedule, direct, and monitor drilling activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
• Manage day‑to‑day operational issues to achieve cost‑effectiveness and profitability.
• Prepare and submit monthly drilling forecast reports and daily timesheets.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, legislative, and corporate procedures.
• Identify training needs, coordinate training delivery, and conduct performance appraisals.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and oversee procurement processes.
• Maintain equipment care practices and oversee camp, workshop, and site safety policies.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of current safety practices and exploration drilling.
• Proven people‑management and leadership skills.
• Experience negotiating contracts and understanding statutory labour law requirements.
• Ability to develop work priorities, coordinate resources, and lead teams.
