Project Officer – Regional Trade Facilitation Programme

About the role
This position offers a unique opportunity to support the EU‑funded GGSP‑CALAO programme, a major trade‑facilitation initiative linking the Abidjan‑Lagos and Abidjan‑Ouagadougou corridors. The Project Officer will work closely with programme teams, government bodies, regional organisations and implementing partners to ensure smooth delivery of activities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational and administrative support to the Programme Manager, including preparation and monitoring of work plans, budgets and timelines.
- Maintain accurate project documentation such as monitoring plans, risk registers and activity logs.
- Support procurement processes and coordinate with procurement teams.
- Facilitate information sharing among technical teams (trade facilitation, procurement, communications, results & impact).
- Track deliverables from consultants, partners and contractors, providing regular updates to management.
- Assist in data collection, analysis and preparation of quarterly and annual reports.
- Compile evidence for audits, evaluations and programme reviews.
- Maintain monitoring tools and ensure results reporting meets donor requirements.
Required profile
- Highly organised, proactive and results‑oriented professional.
- Strong analytical and project coordination experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and integrate gender, inclusion, safeguarding and sustainability considerations.
