Reconciliation Officer – Financial Operations

About the role

Wave is expanding its financial operations in Africa and needs a meticulous Reconciliation Officer to ensure the accuracy of its banking and agent transactions. Based in Abidjan, you will work closely with the Reconciliation Manager and cross‑functional teams to maintain the integrity of financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations, matching internal balances with bank statements.
• Validate and process agent e‑float purchases and partner wallet funding transactions.
• Investigate and resolve any transaction discrepancies promptly.
• Align bank records with corresponding agent IDs for precise tracking.
• Record and monitor daily and monthly bank fees.
• Support the Reconciliation Manager on various projects and ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar reconciliation or accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes.
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
