Reconciliation Officer

About the role

Wave is expanding its financial operations across Africa and needs a diligent Reconciliation Officer to ensure the accuracy of its financial records. Based in Abidjan, you will work closely with internal teams and external partners to keep the company’s accounts aligned with bank statements and transaction data.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily bank reconciliations to match internal balances with bank statements.
• Evaluate and process agent e‑float purchases and partner wallet funding transactions.
• Verify transaction amounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve balance differences promptly.
• Align bank records with corresponding agent IDs for precise tracking.
• Record daily and monthly bank fees and ensure accurate reporting.
• Support the Reconciliation Manager on various projects and undertake ad‑hoc tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Fluent in English and French.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar reconciliation or accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and meticulous attention to detail.
• Legal authorization to work in Côte d’Ivoire.
