Regional Project Manager

About the role

Seaboard Overseas and Trading Group is seeking a Regional Project Manager to lead industrial capital projects from Front‑End Loading (FEL) through execution, commissioning and closeout. The role represents the owner’s interests end‑to‑end, ensuring projects are well‑defined before approval and delivered with discipline after funding.

Key responsibilities

• Lead FEL phases (1‑3): define scope, develop business cases, select concepts, estimate costs, plan execution (WBS, SOW, schedules, resources, contracts, risk, cost, procurement, safety).
• Validate readiness and transition projects into execution.
• Manage engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
• Establish KPIs, reporting cadence and lead portfolio update meetings.
• Coordinate OEMs and contractors, enforce accountability.
• Control budgets, forecasts and change orders.
• Conduct milestone‑based site visits to ensure safe, high‑quality execution.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety, food safety and regulatory standards.
• Provide concise executive updates and escalate risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, electrical, industrial or related).
• 8‑10+ years of capital project management experience in industrial manufacturing.
• Proven success managing projects ranging from <$5M to >$50M.
• Demonstrated experience in Front‑End project development (FEL 1‑3) using stage‑gate approvals.
