SBAE Technical Consultant

About the role

AgriCorps is seeking a Technical Consultant to lead the adaptation and launch of a School‑Based Agricultural Education (SBAE) pilot in Côte d’Ivoire. You will work closely with the Ministry of Education, local partners, and schools to turn agricultural learning into a practical, community‑focused program.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑develop and localize the four‑component SBAE framework for Ivorian schools, aligning with government priorities.
• Design and adapt training materials, tools, and a student organization model (e.g., FFA or 4‑H) for French‑language delivery.
• Support school selection, preparation, and the establishment of monitoring and evaluation systems.
• Facilitate teacher training workshops and coach educators in creating SBAE clubs and demonstration farms.
• Conduct regular site visits to troubleshoot, provide feedback, and ensure pilot success.

Required profile

• Experience working at the intersection of government, education, and rural development.
• Proven ability to manage ambiguous, early‑stage projects with persistence and adaptability.
• Self‑starter who thrives in collaborative environments and can operate independently.

Required skills

• Fluency in French and English.
• Strong facilitation and workshop delivery skills.
• Experience designing curriculum or training content for agricultural education.
• Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
