Senior Business Development Associate – Client Relationships

About the role

The Senior Business Development Associate (Client Relationships) supports the Business Development Manager in driving GECS’s growth agenda in Côte d’Ivoire. The role is the primary point of contact for existing offtakers and clients, ensuring contract compliance, invoicing, and strong relationship management while escalating critical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day relationships with offtakers, industrial and mining customers under PPAs, concession and gas contracts.
• Monitor contractual obligations, renewal dates, invoicing, payment performance and credit risk.
• Support the BDM in market mapping, commercial analysis, term‑sheet preparation and negotiation of new agreements.
• Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Engineering and Project Development to resolve routine matters and ensure timely execution.
• Prepare periodic updates on accounts, contracts and pipeline, highlighting risks and actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, Law or related field (or BTS with extensive experience).
• 4‑6 years of experience in account management, contract administration or business development in power, energy or gas mid‑stream sectors.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and monitor commercial contracts.
