Senior Geologist – Mining Exploration

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Geologist to join our international mining team in Côte d’Ivoire. The successful candidate will lead exploration initiatives, turning geological data into actionable mining strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage geological exploration projects from inception through delivery, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Supervise and mentor junior geologists and field crews, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Conduct and oversee detailed geological, structural and sampling analyses to identify mineral deposits and exploration targets.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all exploration activities comply with environmental, safety and regulatory standards.
• Identify and mitigate geological risks, implementing effective risk‑management strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a geologist in greenfield or brownfield mining environments.
• Proven track record of discoveries in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong organisational abilities and a results‑driven work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency in QGIS.
• Experience with 3D geological modelling software such as Leapfrog or Micromine.
