Wireless Technical Director

About the role

The Wireless Technical Director will serve as the primary technical anchor for a major wireless project, interfacing directly with the client’s C‑level executives and technical leadership. This senior position leads a local engineering team, ensures flawless project delivery, and safeguards client trust through high‑impact technical decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the senior customer interface, presenting technical solutions to CTOs, Technical Directors, and other C‑level stakeholders.
• Supervise the local wireless technical team covering network planning, optimization, design, surveys, and routine delivery support.
• Drive end‑to‑end execution of wireless solutions, including multi‑technology network swaps, new site roll‑outs (NRO), and capacity expansions while meeting KPIs and SLAs.
• Identify and resolve critical technical bottlenecks, escalations, and network outages by coordinating cross‑functional resources.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Director and align engineering goals with commercial outcomes, managing subcontractors, R&D, and supply‑chain streams.

Required profile

• Full professional fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in wireless telecommunications, including at least 2 years in a Technical Director or equivalent leadership role.
• Proven track record of delivering network roll‑outs or optimisations, preferably within the Orange ecosystem.
• Strong execution focus, high stress tolerance, and the ability to drive results under tight schedules.
• Excellent logical thinking and problem‑solving skills, capable of translating complex technical issues into business‑oriented solutions for executives.
