Woodworker / Wind Turbine Blade Fabricator (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced woodworker to fabricate wooden wind turbine blades and tail assemblies for our renewable‑energy programme in West Africa. The work will be carried out in your own workshop, following the designs and quality standards supplied by KOC Bridges to Peace.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate wooden wind turbine blades and tail components according to supplied templates and specifications.
• Select and prepare suitable outdoor‑grade wood, measure, cut, shape, sand and finish each part.
• Produce multiple identical blade sets while maintaining strict dimensional consistency.
• Perform basic quality‑control checks, including balancing of rotating components.
• Make any required adjustments to meet specifications and package the finished components for delivery to Abidjan.

Required profile

• Proven experience in woodworking or carpentry, preferably with curved or shaped wooden parts.
• Own fully equipped workshop capable of handling batch production.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings, templates and measurement data.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Capacity to meet agreed production schedules and arrange transport of finished goods.

Required skills

• Use of saws, planers, sanders and routers.
• Measurement, cutting, shaping and finishing of wood.
• Interpretation of technical drawings.
• Balancing of rotating wooden components (advantage).
