Work Package Controller and Accounting Coordinator

About the role

Alstom is looking for a full-time Work Package Controller and Accounting Coordinator in Abidjan. The role applies financial and accounting expertise to the economic and financial management of projects, working closely with project managers, supply chain teams and external consultants. It involves monitoring cash flow and project costs, keeping accurate cost records and analysing Estimate to Complete (ETC) for Work Packages, while acting as the liaison for accounting matters with the partner Deloitte.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up French content across all participating units, organise regular monitoring and reporting, and support the preparation and consolidation of MPR, QPR and FPRs
• Take part in the forecasting process (budget, F0, RoFo) and review key variances with Work Package Managers each month
• Support ad-hoc analysis and month-end closing, and forecast project cash flows
• Ensure client invoicing and collection, and act as financial and economic advisor to Work Package managers
• Prepare periodic project reviews (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual) and analyse actual costs versus forecasts
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to track cost evolution, and review QCD (quality, cost, delivery) performance against commitments
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, ensure accuracy in consolidated forecasts and maintain compliance with Alstom's financial processes
• Maintain data accuracy in project management tools such as OdyC and SAP

Required profile

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
• 6-10 years of experience in large infrastructure projects or financial control in an industrial environment
• Fluency in French and English
• Rigor, attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset; experience is valued less than attitude

Required skills

• Cost control, cash flow management and P&L principles
• Strong knowledge of accounting practices and familiarity with local financial regulations in Côte d'Ivoire
• SAP with audit profile is a plus
