ICSS Technician – Offshore FPSO (Côte d'Ivoire)

About the role

Altera is seeking an experienced ICSS Technician to support the FPSO Petrojarl Kong project in Côte d'Ivoire. You will work alongside the Lead E&I Technician, performing maintenance and repairs on the vessel’s Integrated Control and Safety Systems (ICSS) to ensure safe and reliable offshore operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Lead E&I Technician with maintenance and repairs on ICSS, PESD, ESD, and fire‑and‑gas (F&G) systems.
• Execute planned preventive and corrective maintenance according to CMMS work instructions.
• Diagnose equipment failures, determine repair solutions, and document actions in the Maintenance Management System.
• Prepare work permits and isolation plans using Altera’s ePTW system, acting as isolation authority when required.
• Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and offshore emergency response procedures.
• Support electricians and instrument technicians, ensuring detailed work requests and compliance with statutory regulations.

Required profile

• Relevant education in electro‑instrumentation or automation.
• Significant experience in an electrical department on offshore installations (FPSO preferred) or shipping.
• Compliance with the training matrix for the position.
• High self‑motivation and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Siemens S7 (S5 & S7) programming.
• Experience using CMMS for maintenance planning and reporting.
• Knowledge of ePTW (electronic Permit to Work) processes.
• Understanding of Cause & Effects for PESD, ESD, and F&G systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrument drawings, reports, and manuals.
