About the role
Endeavour Mining is rolling out an ambitious digital transformation program across its West African operations. The Junior Data Scientist will join the digital office to build models, analyse large data sets and support the deployment of advanced analytics solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Interact with business divisions to gather data requirements and define monitoring criteria.
- Design, build and implement analytical solutions, applying machine‑learning and data‑mining techniques.
- Drive data modelling, testing and quality assurance throughout projects.
- Develop best practices, standards and tools for analytics and track their business impact.
- Provide technical guidance on data architecture, data models and metadata management to senior IT and business leaders.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Big Data or Data Analytics/Engineering.
- At least 1 year of experience in a statistical or data‑science role.
