Accounting Reference (Accountant) – Abidjan

About the role

Eni Natural Energies Côte d'Ivoire is seeking an Accounting Reference (Accountant) to join its finance team in Abidjan. The role involves handling core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting tax compliance in line with OHADA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions in SAP (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, revenue, and taxes).
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities according to Eni Group reporting requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers on AP/AR matters.
• Prepare and submit direct and indirect tax reports to fiscal authorities.
• Execute internal controls, account reconciliations and support internal/external audits.
• Ensure compliance with OHADA accounting standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (Master’s a plus).
• Significant professional experience in general accounting.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP accounting modules.
• Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills.
• Strong knowledge of OHADA accounting standards.
