Country Senior HR Manager – Manufacturing (Abidjan)

About the role

The Country Senior HR Manager will lead all human resources activities for a manufacturing plant in Abidjan, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance with local labour regulations, and effective management of a blue‑collar workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute country‑level HR strategies that support manufacturing goals.
• Partner with senior leadership and factory managers to provide strategic HR guidance.
• Oversee end‑to‑end HR operations for factory employees, including recruitment, onboarding, shift planning and productivity tracking.
• Ensure full compliance with Ivorian labour law, ILO standards and IFC Performance Standards through regular audits and corrective actions.
• Manage labour brokers, contractors and subcontractors, verifying contracts, wage payments, statutory deductions and health‑and‑safety standards.
• Implement and monitor grievance mechanisms, child‑labour prevention programs and health‑and‑safety procedures for all workers.

Required profile

• Ivorian male, 45 years old or younger.
• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or a related field.
• 10‑15 years progressive HR experience, primarily in factory or manufacturing environments.
• Proven expertise in industrial relations, labour‑law compliance and union handling.
• Strong knowledge of blue‑collar workforce management and contractor oversight.
